Our Story

For years I stuffed around with portable batteries — checking fridge levels, checking battery levels. Couldn't fit a proper dual battery system in the car — it was a lease, so that was never really on the table.

I bought a fridge that ran off my tool batteries, thinking it'd be perfect. Great for the odd overnight, and mostly for picnics with the family. But it had one problem I couldn't get past: plug it into 240V or 12V, and it wouldn't charge. You'd get home, forget to swap batteries, and the next weekend it'd be flat when you needed it.

So I went looking for something that actually fit how we live. Couldn't find it — everything on the market had the same gaps. So I found a manufacturer and worked with them to fix it: proper charging on both 240V and 12V, the right battery capacity, no dual battery needed. That's how the ROLi Mini and ROLi Roam came about.

The Mini lives in my car. Compact, convenient, and with the 15.6Ah battery on board plus my daily commute, it's always running. It comes to every BBQ with the boys and fits enough drinks for me and the darl without taking up the whole boot.

The Roam is the family one. With two adults and two young boys, we need enough room for lunch, snacks, and drinks for all four of us — the 23L fits it easily, with room left for dessert. We've taken it camping overnight and the battery's carried it through comfortably, no worries.

Like a lot of these brands, ROLi exists because we needed it ourselves first. We use them. We love them. Hope you do too.
